Cheshire Police Arrest Shooting Suspect

A 24-year-old Florida resident charged in accidental shooting.

Cheshire police have arrested Sean Cazimovksi, 24, of Florida for the April shooting of an employee at Tufano Amusement.

Cazimovksi was charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree and unlawful discharge of a gun, according to police. He turned himself in Tuesday afternoon on an outstanding warrant.

He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on May 23.

The shooting, which occured at 1:20 a.m. on April 20, was described by police as accidental. Workers at Tufano Amusement live at the carnival company's headquarters at 1695 Reinhard Rd. during the off season.

The victim's name, age or condition have not been released. Police Lt. Chris Cote said in April that the victim had a single gunshot wound to the chest. Police reported the male victim was driven to MidState Medical Center by co-workers and airlifted to Hartford Hospital shortly after arriving at MidState in Meriden.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this article stated that Cazimovksi accidently shot a coworker. Cheshire police said Wednesday afternoon that Cazimovski does not work for Tufano Amusement.
