Criminal Impersonation Arrest in Cheshire

reports the following charges:

Criminal impersonation:

Margaret Echols, 40, of Waterbury was charged on Wed., Feb. 8 with forgery in the second-degree, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating under suspension, failure to have insurance, and criminal impersonation following a motor vehicle stop by Waterbury Police at 2200 Waterbury Road at around 10:30 p.m.

Echols was taken into police custody and turned over to Cheshire Police for an active arrest warrant dating back to an incident in June of 2010 when she had used her sister's personal information to avoid being arrested for driving with a suspended license. The incident was discovered by her sister when she had reportedly failed to appear in court.  She was held on a $1,000 bond and has a court date on February 22, 2012.

Anthony Sego, 48, of Meriden was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle on West Johnson Avenue at 5:46 a.m.

Elizabeth Cusano, 48, of Hamden was cited for a cell phone violation on South Main Street at 10:24 a.m.

Raymond Cruess, 36, of Waterbury was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Byam Road at 11:22 p.m.

Donna Romano, 53, of Hamden was cited for a cell phone violation on South Main Street at 11:54 a.m.

Michael Cooney, 27, of 293 Cornwall Avenue was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and stop lamp/turn signal violation on Highland Avenue at 12:39 p.m.

Domenic Valentino, 18, of 169 Guinevere was charged with traveling unreasonably fast on Dundee Drive at 2:21 p.m.

Eduardo Mendoza, 22, of Waterbury was charged with failure to have insurance and traveling unreasonably fast on Knotter Drive at 4:43 p.m.

Jan Dunn, 17, of 75 Inverness Ct. was cited for making a restricted turn on South Main Street at 6:25 p.m.

Patrick Brenker, 31, of 80 Vista Terrace was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Byam Road at 11:54 p.m.

Friday, February 3

Jeffrey Hamel, 66, of 585 Riverside Dr. was charged with traveling unreasonably fast on Peck Lane at 8:37 a.m.

Paul Phillips, 48, of Meriden was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Peck Lane at 9:16 a.m.

Marilyn Steiner, 66, of 285 Argyle Rd. was charged with failure to obey a stop sign and failure to obey an officer's signal on Cornwall Avenue at 1:44 p.m.

Rita Pereira, 43, of Danbury was charged with failure to obey a control signal on Main Street at 5:21 p.m.

William Ewen, 67, of New Haven was cited for failure to obey a stop sign on Waterbury Road at 5:55 p.m.

Melissa Mons Brown, 34, of Hamden was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Mountain Road at 8:45 p.m.
