Fire Causes Extensive Damage to Scenic Court Home

A four-bedroom home is uninhabitable after a fire burned through the roof on Friday evening.

A fire Friday evening burned through the roof of a nearly 4,000-square-foot home at 105 Scenic Court causing the structure to be uninhabitable.

The home is owned by Rhonda S. Hendel, according to property records. The two-story wooden structure had extensive damage to the rear portion while large front windows were broken during the fire. Charred roof timbers can be seen from the street.

Information from the Cheshire Fire Department wasn't available Saturday morning, but witnesses say the entire length of Scenic Court was blocked to traffic for about two hours after the fire began around 7 p.m. Friday.
