Linda Forcinelli, 64, of Elmwood Drive caused a seven-car accident in the parking lot of around 12:30 p.m., according to police.
The accident allegedly happened after Forcinelli's car left the parking space and hit a parked vehicle across the lot's driving lane. She continued to strike four other vehicles while her car traveled in the lot. The final vehicle she hit was pushed into a sixth vehicle, which then struck the left side of another parked car, police said. All vehicles involved in the accident were parked and unoccupied.
Wednesday, December 21
A five-vehicle accident happened on Cook Hill Road around 6:20 p.m. as a wrecker owned by Auto Sports, Inc. of Hamden failed to come to a complete stop for traffic ahead. The wrecker, operated by Jonathan Esposito, 31, of East Haven ended up rear ending a vehicle operated by Kaitlyn Kasinskas, 23, of Prospect Road which got pushed into three other vehicles ahead of her. No injuries were reported at the scene and rainfall was reported to be a contributing factor in the accident.
Friday, December 23
A head-on collision occurred at 5:02 p.m. as Asahi Hoque, 17, of Shipton Court reportedly crossed over the double yellow lines into the path of Patrick Bowman, 45, of Notch Road. Hoque, who was traveling eastbound on South Main Street past Elmwood Drive told police she felt drowsy just prior to the collision. Both vehicles were towed due to damage and injuries were reported by Bowman and a passenger in Hoque's vehicle.
Saturday, December 24
Kwadwo Appiah, 49, of East Hartford was involved in a two car collision with Kyle Scarella, 31, of Middlefield, on South Main Street near Fenn Road at approximately 2:24 a.m. The collision occurred as Appiah attempted to illegally pass Scarella, who reportedly had his right turn signal activated. No injuried were reported and Appiah was charged with passing in a no passing zone.
