Unconscious and Wrong Way Drivers Arrested in Cheshire

Cheshire police also arrest two juveniles on burglary charges.

The reported the following arrests and charges:

A driver who had apparently passed out in his car at the intersection of Yalesville and So. Meriden Roads was arrested at 12:49 a.m. on Sept. 2, according to police William Bartolotta, 30, of Middletown was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and non-violent drug offenses.

Two juveniles and 18-year-old Tyren Martin of Hartford were arrested after the owner of a car reported a theft from her vehicle at 1409 Cheshire St. The victim was able to identify the suspects who were arrested at 10:49 p.m. on Sept. 8, The juveniles, whose names and addresses weren't released, were both charged with criminal attempt, conspiracy to commit larceny in the 4th degree from a motor vehicle, burglary in the third degree and conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree. Martin was charged with criminal attempt, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree from a motor vehicle, burglary in the third degree and conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree.

Eaven Stevenson, 18, of 393 Spring St. was charged with harassment in the second degree, disorderly conduct-family violence on Sept. 2 at 8:20 p.m.

David Halpin, 28, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was charged with driving the wrong way on a divided highway, failure to drive in the proper land and operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol on Sept. 3 at 9:52 p.m. at So. Main Street and Elmwood Drive.

Christopher Melillo, 39, of Northford, was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol and failure to drive right on Sept. 5 at 12:10 a.m.

Laura Pera, 55, of 435 West Main St. was charged with disorderly conduct-family violence on Sept. 10 at 11:22 p.m.
