Capital Budget Public Hearing Tonight at Town Hall

Residents have a chance to ask questions of the Town Council tonight about the proposed $38 million capital budget that covers about 20 major projects.

The Town Council will vote next week on whether to approve $38 million in major projects.

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. at residents may ask for further explanations from the council on the spending plan. 

Here are key requests contained in the capital budget:

  • $30 million for treatment plant upgrade (grants may be available)
  • $2.5 million for expansion of Linear Park (grants will reduce cost)
  • $1.1 million for education projects 
  • $1.5 million for land acquisition

The council will vote on the capital budget at a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 23 also at Town Hall.
