Cheshire Community Pool to Have Permanent Enclosed Roof

Town Council expected to sign contract with Arizon Structures to design, build new covering.

The Cheshire Town Council is expected to vote next week on a contract with St. Louis-based Arizon Structures to design and construct a permanent enclosure for the community pool.

The council will review the $1,715,800 contract during one of its planning meeting for the capital budget process, which begin next week.

Town Attorney Al Smith told the Cheshire Citizen that there is an "outside chance that (Arizon) will want to negotiate" after it receives the contract, which could push back its signing.

The town has fallen several months behind schedule on the project after it broke ties with Signature Structures of Pennsylvania because the company couldn't secure proper bonding, according to the Waterbury Republican-American.
