Election 2012: Cheshire Voters Approve More Than $34 Million in Bonding

Voters approved three referendums totaling more than $34 million.

Voters here easily approved more than $34 million in new spending for technology improvements, road repaving and upgrades to the town's sewer treatment plant.

Residents voted 7,647 to 6,043 to spend $750,000 on the town's technology reserve fund and voted 9,477 to to 4,372 on a $1.5 million proposal to repave town roads.

Voters also approved, 9,112 to 4,338, a $32.15 million proposed upgrade to the Water Pollution Control Authority plant.

As of late Tuesday night several of the town's state House and Senate races were still undecided and votes were still being tallied.
