Exercise Cords Recalled Due to Severe Eye Injuries

Nearly a half million resistance exercise cords from Target are recalled after severe eye injuries occur.

Exercise cords used for resistance training are being recalled by Target stores after two users suffered permanent vision loss.

A black plastic ball attached to the resistance cord's door anchor can unexpectedly release and strike the user, posing an injury hazard to consumers.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission tells consumers who purchashed "Embark Resistance Cords and Cord Kits" to remove the door anchor strap or contact the company to receive instructions to repair the cords to eliminate the hazard.

This recall involves Embark brand individual resistance cords and cord kits.
