Fritz Gets Two Opponents from Cheshire
Republicans Richard Abbate and Guy Darter plan to challenge State Rep. Mary Fritz
A former Republican registrar of voters and a local businessman have both formed exploratory committees to challenge veteran incumbent State Rep. Mary Fritz, (D-90) in the Nov. 2012 election.
Former registrar Richard Abbate has formed a committee named "Abbate 2012." He also ran against Fritz in 2010. His daugther, Elizabeth Abbate, ran against Fritz in 2006.
Guy Darter, the co-owner of Darter Specialties Inc. is a political newcomer. He has operated a specialty printing company for about 20 years.

Incumbent State Rep. Al Adinolfi (R-103), has also formed an exploratory committee to seek re-election, according to the State Elections Enforcement Commission.
Incumbent State Rep. Vickie Nardello, (D-89) has not yet filed committee documents.

The next committee filing deadline is April 10.
