John Pistone Announces Independent Conservative Bid for 5th Congressional District

Posted by John Pistone for Congress.

John Pistone, resident of Brookfield, a “blue collar” worker, a proud father and married for the past 26 years, is seeking the 5th Congressional Seat of Connecticut.

Running as an Independent Conservative candidate for U.S. Congress because I believe our country is on the wrong path. We have a 17 trillion dollar deficit, regulations that prevent growth and kill jobs, a complex tax code, an unemployment rate that is unacceptable, an energy crisis, out of control government spending, imbalanced trade agreements and elected representatives who believe they can trample upon our Constitution and our religious freedom (just to name a few).

It is time for a Citizen Legislator who puts people over party politics. This is a great opportunity for the state of Connecticut to elect a Representative who will fight for the American people instead of a career politician who will fight, only for their party.

I believe in common-sense policies, not party politics.  What we have in Congress is nothing more than grid lock.  I’m ready to fight for you, challenge the existing barriers and create a path to job creation, energy independence, tax reform, fair trade agreements, and a free market health care system that allows for out of state competition.  My highest priority is your best interest.  Give me that opportunity and the chance to protect and defend our Constitution and religious freedom.
