Three Democrats are vying for one shot at their party's nomination to represent Connecticut's 5th Congressional District. And their going up against each other tonight, to debate the issues and give voters a glimpse into how they would govern.

The candidates are:

  • State Rep. Chris Donovan, of Meriden
  • Elizabeth Esty, of Cheshire
  • Dan Roberti, of Kent

All three are hoping to take the seat being vacated by Congressman Chris Murphy, a Democrat who has his .

Tonight's debate, at Chase Collegiate School in Waterbury at 7 p.m., will be moderated by Scott Bates, a member of the Democratic State Central Committee.
