New Town Councilor Appointed
Sylvia Nichols received unanimous approval Tuesday night in her appointment to the council.
The Town Council is back to its full contingent of nine members with the unanimous appointment Tuesday night of Republican Sylvia Nichols.
Nichols resigned her seat on the Planning and Zoning Commission to fill the council position left by the death of Anne Giddings. Giddings died in April following a car accident.
"I recognize Mrs. Giddings' intelligence and contributions (to the council) and will continue in the same attitude," Nichols said after being sworn in.
