The Job Grinds on for Public Works

Mulching continues on piles of debris in town.

About 14,000 cubic yards of woody debris has to be mulched to reduce the piles of fallen limbs collected from the October snow storm. The mound at is the biggest of the four storage locations, said Public Works Director Joseph Michelangelo.

The grinding project at Bartlem is about half-way finished. Michelangelo said the town will leave the pile there until spring when some of the mulch will be used in town parks and other areas. Surplus mulch is expected to be sold.

They should let residents take it in the spring. Great for gardens. And it would be a nice gesture to taxpayers.
