Some gun manufacturers in Connecticut have threatened to moveout of the state following approval earlier this year of new state gun laws in reaction to the Dec. 14 shootings in Newtown that killed 20 children and six women at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

According to a story today in The Texas Tribune, Perry is planning a four-day trip to New York and Connecticut beginning Sunday, June 16. He intends to tell gun makers and other businesses here that Texas would welcome them with open arms.
