Touchdown for Turf Field Project

A photo essay of today's groundbreaking ceremony at Cheshire High School and a week full of anticipation.

Director of Management Services, Vincent J. Masciana, Cheshire Public Schools shared photos he took of Friday's groundbreaking ceremony. Other photos are from Tuesday's public hearing when high school athletes asked the Town Council to fund a replacement track.

The council voted 6-to-3 to appropriate about $189,000 to combine the track replacement with the turf installation project.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new field and track is expected to be held in November. The first football game on the new field is expected to be held in mid-October.
