Town Working on Plan to Help Residents Dispose of Debris Left from Irene

All roads are open in Cheshire; Town Hall is open for business; school begins tomorrow.

Here is the latest information from Cheshire Town Hall following Hurricane Irene:

  • The town is working on a plan to assist residents with ridding their yards of disposable of debris according to the Town Manager's office. 
  • Arrangements for debris disposal will be announced Tuesday. See the attached pdf provided by the town for for a guide on how to hire a tree removal contractor.
  • CL&P reports that 99 percent of the remaining Cheshire residents without power, about 2,000, will have electricity restored by the end of Monday. Residents with power concerns should call CL&P directly at 800-286-5000 or 800-286-2000. Click here to see the CL&P outage map
  • All Cheshire roads are open as of noon Monday.
