What's Open, What's Closed on Presidents Day

Today is recognized as a state and federal holiday, but while Cheshire Town Hall may be closed, other places will remain open. Find out what's open and what's closed on Presidents Day.

Feb. 18 is considered a holiday in observance of the President's Day Birthday. State and local government offices are closed but many retail businesses will remain open, as will schools.

Here is a complete look at what's open and what's closed:

  • Cheshire Town Hall: Closed
  • Cheshire Public Library: OPEN
  • Cheshire Schools: Closed
  • Banks: Closed
  • U.S. Post Offices: Closed
  • State Government Offices: Closed
  • State Courts: Closed
  • Liquor Stores: Able to Open
  • Mt. Southington: Open
  • Supermarkets: Open
  • Retail Stores: Open
  • Restaurants: Running on their usual Monday schedules.

Looking for a different activity? The ice rink along Mill Street in downtown Southington is open.
