2014-15 Cheshire Board of Education Budget to be Unveiled Jan. 2

Cheshire Public Schools will be holding a series of forums in January during which residents can learn about give input into the 2014-15 school budget.

The Cheshire Board of Education on Monday announced the schedule of public information meetings regarding the proposed 2014-15 Cheshire school budget.  

From the release:

"These meetings will serve as public budget reviews and will provide Board members the opportunity to solicit input and ideas from the public concerning the proposed budget and any cuts that might be made."

Here's the rundown:

  • Supt. of Schools Greg Florio presents his budget Thursday, Jan. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers.
  • Public Budget Review, Administrative Review of Accounts: Tuesday, Jan. 7 and Thursday, Jan. 9, both at 7:30 p.m. at Dodd Middle School.
  • Public Informational Meeting/Board Member Responses to Superintendent’s Budget/Adoption of a Board of Education Budget, if possible on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Dodd Middle School.
  • If necessary: Special Meeting of the Board of Education to Adopt a board of Education Budget on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Dodd Middle School.
