Cheshire Coach in National Championship

Acclaimed gymnastics coach Byron Knox, who owns (C.A.T.S.) in , will lead the University of Bridgeport women’s gymnastics team to attempt to win its fourth consecutive national championship this week.

The Hartford Courant reported that the UB Purple Knights will host the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships this week at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.

Knox was named USA Gymnastics coach of the year in 2009 and 2010 and NCAA regional coach of the year 2008, 2009 and 2010. He also coaches the Southington High School girls team and the Chelsea Pier Connecticut gymnastics center girls team in Stamford.
