Thirteen Cheshire High School seniors are recognized for their academic achievements with scholarships from the foundation.

The scholarships were announced May 21 at the Cheshire High School Awards Convocation. The winners and their families will be honored at a reception June 3 at the Dodd Middle School library.

“Helping make these scholarships possible is one of the most important things we do as the Cheshire Education,” said Jane Leukart, CEF chair. “We are so impressed with these students and we are happy that we can help them as they begin their college careers.”

Dr. Barry Feldman, who oversees the Cheshire Education Foundation scholarship effort each year, extended his sincere thanks to all the generous contributors, “who have made it possible for us to provide these awards each year to Cheshire High seniors as they continue their educations.”  These include the families and organizations for which each scholarship is named, along with the Balso Foundation and the friends of Jane Calabro.

The Cheshire Education Foundation has been raising private funds to enhance the programs and offerings of the Cheshire Public Schools since 1995.
