Cheshire High School Marching Band Takes Honors at Competition

They'll be hosting their own competition on Oct. 12.

The Cheshire High School Marching Ram Band came in first place this past Saturday at the Halftime All the Time marching band competition hosted by Maloney High School at Falcon Field in Meriden.

The CHSMRB show this year features a well-developed theme based on Dvorak’s New World Symphony arranged by Frank Sullivan. The show is made complete by an extraordinary routine by the color guard this year who take command of an eight-foot globe. It is a musical and visual experience not to be missed.

On the horizon, CHSMRB will be hosting its marching band competition event called Music In Motion on Oct. 12.  This is Music In Motion’s 30th anniversary. So far 16 marching bands, including Central Connecticut University’s Blue Devils, will be taking the field.
