Cheshire High Seniors Receive Scholarships

Scholarships from the Connecticut Community Foundation are awarded to three graduates.

The Connecticut Community Foundation recently awarded scholarships to 11 students from Cheshire including three graduating seniors from Cheshire High School.

The scholarships were awarded to Sean Kinyon, Jessica Sudock and William Guo. Rachel Adams of Cheshire who graduated from Chase Collegiate School was also given a scholarship. Other recipients from Cheshire who are already in college are:

Lucian Boyd, Bradley University; Stephanie Coppola, Quinnipiac University; Loan Le, Fairfield University; Elaina Milici, Johnson & Wales University; Brittany Shpak, New York University; Kaitlyn Thomas, Quinnipiac University; and Megan Walton, Salve Regina University.

The foundation, which is the region’s largest scholarship provider, awarded more than $602,000 this school year to students from Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills.

Scholarship applications for the 2012 school year will be available from CCF beginning in January. Students can obtain applications from their high school guidance departments or online at www.conncf.org/guidelines-applications. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2012.
