Cheshire Student Joins Senate Youth Program

Senior Monica DiLeo meets President Obama

, a student has been accepted into the United States Senate Youth Program.

An article in the Connecticut Post said Cheshire High senior Monica DiLeo traveled to Washington DC last week and got to meet President Barack Obama, Chief Justice John Roberts, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, senators, congressmen and other government leaders and foreign ambassadors.

DiLeo is one of two students representing Connecticut in the program, which is observing its 50th anniversary this year.
