Cheshire Teacher Hired as Principal in Southington
Veteran Highland school teacher, Marilyn Kahl, tapped for assistant principal position
Marilyn Kahl, who taught for 16 years at has been hired as the assistant principal at Southington's Derynoski Elementary School.
“This really has been a dream of mine. It was something I knew I wanted to do as soon as I started teaching,” said Kahl, 45.
Kahl, a Cheshire native, started her career as a fourth-grade teacher at Highland before switching to teach fifth grade there.
Kahl is the daughter of Marilyn Milton, the well-known clerk of the Cheshire Town Council and other elected boards.
