Meet Dakota the Red-Tailed Hawk, Silo the Barn Owl, Athena the Peregrine Falcon and Corbin the Crow (who is learning to talk).

The event with Horizon Wings is sponsored by the Naugatuck Valley Audubon and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 at the Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby.

Discover the birds' individual stories of survival, as well as the characteristics and behaviors of each species and learn what you can do to help them.

Horizon Wings, a non-profit organization for the rehabilitation of raptors, was formed in 2001 by Mary-Beth Kaeser and her husband, Alan Nordell.

This program is wonderful for the whole family.  A donation of $5.00 is requested. Light refreshments will be served after the meeting. For further information, directions or to register, please phone the Kellogg Environmental Center at (203) 734-2513 or contact Dennis Kocyla at (203) 734-9325 or dennisk32@yahoo.com
