Science Fair Winner from St. Bridget School
An eighth grader wins recognition at the Connecticut Science Fair.
Nicholas Indorf, an 8th grader at St.Bridget School in Cheshire, was recognized at the Connecticut State Science Fair in the physical sciences category for his project called "What it the best packaging material for protecting a given object?"
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy visited the fair on Saturday, the first head of state to do so in the fair's 63-year history. The governor congratulated the winners before speaking to the several hundred people at Quinnipiac University in Hamden.
“Being here today renews one’s faith in our possibility in Connecticut,” Malloy said. “The young people in our midst are capable of great things. They have put together outstanding projects and research that may one-day solve problems in our society ranging from breast cancer to our dependence on foreign energy sources. They are already working toward solutions to the great questions the world must solve in the next generation," Malloy said. (See video).
