State Quarterfinals for Cheshire Girls Soccer, Volleyball
The state tournament schedule has Cheshire teams facing Newtown and Bristol Eastern
The undefeated Cheshire girls volleyball team plays in the Class LL state tournament quarterfinals Tuesday at home against Bristol Eastern. Their road to the state tournament saw the team win against Stamford, 3-1 in the second round of the state tournament. Cheshire has 18 wins this season..
The girls soccer team will also take on Newtown Tuesday in tournament quarterfinals in an away game. Newtown is ranked 6th with 13 wins while the Rams are ranked 14th with 12 wins.
The team got to the state quarterfinals by winning the first round against Bristol Eastern, 1-0 and the second round against Amity, 2-1.
