Student Spotlight: Achievements of Cheshire Residents

Marking the academic achievements of Cheshire residents.




Laura Bunnell, a resident of Cheshire, was among more than 1,080 students from Roger Williams University to receive their degree during the University's Commencement ceremony held on May 18, 2013. Bunnell received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, welcomes Matthew W. Gardiner of Cheshire as a member of the class of 2017. Gardiner graduated from Cheshire High School.

Lukas A. Yasuda of Cheshire enrolled at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, this fall. Before classes began Yasuda took part in an orientation that included an introduction to Colby's rigorous academics, rich cultural life, and community involvement opportunities as well as a three-day outdoor excursion. A graduate of Cheshire High School, Yasuda is the son of Thomas and Barbara Yasuda of Cheshire.

Audrey DeFusco of Cheshire, a member of the Bowdoin College Class of 2016, was honored for academic excellence during the College's annual Sarah and James Bowdoin Day ceremony, held October 25. DeFusco has not yet declared a major.

Kimberly Gagner, Kaitlin Jarjura and Rachel Nicoletti, all of Cheshire, each earned spots on the President's List for the Summer 2013 Session at Goodwin College, achieving flawless 4.0 GPAs in their respective courses.
