Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty (CT-5) has nominated two Cheshire students to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy.
Hevin Na was nominated to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and Derek Molkenbuhr was nominated to the U.S. Naval Academy.
A diverse panel of leaders active in the veterans’ community assisted in the review and selection of high school students from across Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District, she said in a release Tuesday.

“I am incredibly impressed by the caliber of the students who applied for military academy nominations this year,” Esty said. “It’s inspiring to see so many of our young women and men eager to serve our country and defend our nation’s freedom."
