WNPR Talks with Cheshire High School Students

Catching up after four days without school; Cheshire High School students featured on WNPR.

Cheshire High School was the focus of a report Friday morning on WNPR-FM about how students will stay current with their studies after having four snow days this week.

Superintendent of Schools Greg Florio told WNPR with five snow days so far this year, school would have to continue until June 19 to make up the lost days. He noted those days have piled up before the November election.

Despite having just one day of school this week, several students said they were still studying so they wouldn't fall behind in the curriculum. In the newly reopened school, a cast member of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," told WNPR they still held rehearsals during the power outage to prepare for the performance scheduled for Nov. 17 - 19.
