Season opener and early season results from Cheshire Academy: 

• Coach Andrew J. McBreen reports the Cheshire Academy volleyball team lost the season opener on September 19, to Greens Farms Academy 3-1 at Greens Farms.
• The Cheshire Academy volleyball team lost on September 22 to Marianapolis Academy 3-1 at Cheshire Academy.
• Cheshire Academy field hockey fell to Green Farms 4-0 on September 19 at Simosa Field reports coach Ann Marie Svogun. "While the Fighting Cats were able to hold the Dragons to 2 goals by the half, they were not able to capitalize on a stroke and several offensive corner attempts in the second half. 
• Cheshire Academy Football won its Sept. 13 game 34 to 7 against Pomfret, reports coach Greg MacDonald
• In boys soccer action on Sept. 19, Cheshire Academy won 4-0 against St. Thomas More with Mahmoud Chabarek scoring a hat trick. Meriden's Ian Miller added three assists.
