Crossfit Triton Hosts Competition and Raffle to Benefit Special Olympics

Crossfit Triton of Wallingford will be hosting a “Summer Throwdown” event to benefit the Special Olympics. The competition, taking place on Saturday, June 2 at 9:00 am, will include fitness and weightlifting events based on the
increasingly popular Crossfit style of strength and conditioning. Additionally, the event will feature a raffle for dozens of exciting prizes generously donated
by local businesses in Cheshire, Wallingford and Hamden. 100% of the proceeds from the competition and raffle will directly benefit the Special Olympics of Connecticut. Spectators are also welcome to join in the festivities at Triton’s facility at 801 North Main Street Ext in Wallingford.

“We truly believe that there is an athlete inside everyone,” says Robert Villano, Triton Coach and Co-owner. “Fitness is broad, general and inclusive. That’s why we are proud to support an organization that promotes community, confidence and camaraderie through the power of sports. We are extremely grateful to all the local businesses who are helping us to support this wonderful cause.”

Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting Jen at carbeez@aol.com and there is no need to be present to win. Prizes include tickets to Yankees and Jets games as well as VIP passes to Martina McBride’s upcoming concert at the Oakdale. Additional gifts and certificates have been generously donated by Mr D’s, Amici Salon, Serenity Day Spa, the Posh Princess, Serafino’s, Archie Moore’s, Peachy Keen, J Christian’s, Fratelli’s, Cocoa Shack, Wentworth’s, Dairy Queen, Iam Desserts, Anthony Michael Photography, Mad Tents, Hang it Up Closets and much, much
