YMCA Sloper Family Hiking Series

In an effort to get families engaged in healthy living and reconnected with the great outdoors, YMCA Camp Sloper is pleased to announce the Sloper Family Hiking Series.  The Sloper Family Hiking Series will feature monthly unique hikes at the 143 acre outdoor center that focus on Sloper history, natural wonders, letterboxing, tree identification and more.   Pre-registration is required and can be done at the Southington Community YMCA.  Full members of the YMCA are free and program members pay $5.00.

Families meet at the McLeod Pavilion, YMCA Camp Sloper, 1000 East Street, Southington at 12:30PM and hikes last approximately 90 minutes.   Today is a Letterboxing hike during which families will follow clues to find “letterboxes” that are hidden on the various trails.
