Here are the latest scores from Cheshire Academy sports teams:

Assistant Coach Andrew McBreen reports the Cheshire Academy volleyball team on Friday defeated Hamden Hall 3-0 (25-6, 25-16, 26-24) at the Beckerman Athletic Center. Cheshire Academy has now won three straight matches, and improved its record to 3-2.

On Sept. 26 the team defeated the Stoneleigh-Burnham School 3-0 (25-8, 25-12, 25-13).  Two days earlier, on Sept, 24, they scored a win against Westover School 3-2 (26-28, 25-8, 19-25, 25-14, 15-4)

Cross Country Coach Michelle Repass reports the team beat The MacDuffie School in an away game with a score of 22-33 on Sept. 15.

Nicole Burnett, field hockey coach, reports Cheshire Academy's team lost 4-to-2 to Williams School in Waterford on Saturday.

  • Under wet field conditions, 2 goals were scored by William's Claudia Leuze, one by Carrie Meneo and one goal scored on a penalty stroke by Victoria Ferrigno.
  • For Cheshire, forward Devin Morrison scored both goals with an assist in the second by Viktoria Flore.
  • Cheshire keeper Brittany Ettore made 17 saves and Williams goalie Kailah Waheed had one save.
  • Cheshire's record is  1-2-1 and Williams' 2-3-0
  • Cheshire plays St. Luke's at home today and at Hopkins on Wed. Oct. 3rd and at home again on Sat. Oct. 6 against the Gunnery.

 The field hockey team won it’s first home game on Sept. 26 against Pomfret 2-1

  • Dominated first half but couldn’t get the ball in
  • Goal in the second half scored by Cheshire’s Devin Morrison assisted by Taylor Ettore
  • Tying goal by Pomfret’s Leachman six minutes later
  • Penalty in the circle in the last 30 seconds of game. Taylor Ettore takes the stroke and puts it in the top left corner.

Football Coach David Dykeman reports Cheshire Academy scored 56  agaings 28 for on Sunday.
