The Cheshire Human Services Committee – Friendly Visitor

Training will be provided by: Barbara Barlock, Human Services Committee and Retired Director of Interfaith Volunteer Care Givers of Greater New Haven.

The Friendly Visitor Program service will match volunteers with
seniors for weekly home visits. The objective of the visits is
to demonstrate sincere & cheerful interest in the person visited, and to
provide an opportunity for conversation with a new friend.
If you have an hour a week to bring friendship and conversation to someone who
may be lonely or shut –in, we’d like to hear from you.
If you or someone you know is elderly or disabled and would enjoy having
a new friend, we’d like to know about that as well.
