Abilities Without Boundaries Holds Open House

The Cheshire Chamber of Commerce holds event to recognize the new name for long-established organization formerly known as COCO.

The newly named "Abilities Without Boundaries" organization opened its doors to the community for the first time since the organization completed a re-branding process. The event gave supporters a chance to see the revamped headquarters of the non-profit group.

The organization hosted the Business After-Hours networking event last week. Co-sponsored by , the open house attracted about 60 business professionals to the organization's offices at 615 West Johnson Ave.

The organization is dedicated to providing social opportunities and supported employment to adults with developmental disabilities in and around the Cheshire area.

Guests donned nametags decorated by Abilities’ clients and heard a heartfelt story from Matt Wemple, the parent of a client at Abilities Without Boundaries. Wemple spoke about his daughter’s positive experience at Abilities.  

“It was a great opportunity for people to see the great work done by the clients and staff of Abilities Without Boundaries. The chamber was proud to be a part of the event,” said Executive Director Sheldon Dill.

Abilities Without Boundaries provides social and employment opportunities in the community for developmentally disabled individuals. The group has more than 65 clients who service over 30 different organizations in Cheshire and surrounding towns.
