Cheshire Hosts "Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day"

Supporters traveled from as far as California to celebrate a homecoming for Connecticut's Vietnam veterans on Sunday.

The Connecticut state homecoming for Vietnam veterans was hosted by Cheshire at the football stadium on Sunday. Some participants traveled from California to continue their work for veterans' causes.

The Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day was attended by Senator Richard Blumenthal, and former Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz. "It's long overdue. We didn't give them their due" after the war," Bysiewicz said.
