Founded in 1794 as the Episcopal Academy of Connecticut, this private college-preparatory school is located in the center of Cheshire, where its many historical buildings can be seen dotting the campus. The school became known as Cheshire Academy in 1937. It has nearly 200 high school students who live on campus and a total student population of 363, including international students who represent 15 countries. A day school educates 45 middle school students in grades 6 through 8.
