Mixville Park
203-272-2743
This is the only park in town with a swimming pond that's also used for fishing. An annual fishing derby is held for children in the spring. Kayaking is allowed on the upper pond and the park is dog-friendly. The town's official sledding hill is here too, near the park entrance. Two pavilions are avaiable for private rentals and there are changing rooms near the sandy beach and trails that wander around the pond. Tucked into Prospect Ridge, the park could be considered a natural preserve.
