Rocky Neck State Park

The Rocky Neck Runfest combines three different race opportunities in one incredible venue along the beach and trails of Rocky Neck State Park. Explore the natural beauty on well-marked roads and trails, including the Bride Brook salt marsh, the historic stone Ellie Mitchell Pavilion and the Four Mile River tidal area. Ideally set up in a central location with high-energy atmosphere for relay exchanges, participants and spectators can gather, cheer, refuel and easily access the nearby finish line.
Choose an adventure:
<ol><li>Rocky Neck Relay: Each member of the 3-person team takes on one road 5K and one trail 5K with a break in between rotations. A centrally located exchange zone lets team members relax, refuel and cheer others when not in their run rotation. All teams cross the finish line by the beach.</li><li>Rocky Neck 30K: Solo adventure with 5K rotations of road and trail courses for a total of six legs, approximately 18.6 miles. The early spring adventure will test endurance with a beautiful, challenging trail venue complimented with the road course in and around the campground area.</li><li>Rocky Neck 5K, trail OR road: Both offer picturesque views of Rocky Neck State Park and a stunning finish overlooking beautiful Long Island Sound. The trail 5K is part of the USATF-CT Mountain, Ultra and Trail (MUT) race series.</li></ol>
All participants will earn a long sleeve technical shirt and custom designed finisher medal.
NEW IN 2024: Take on the Spring Hustle to enjoy some extra motivation through the season! Choose the distances to personalize a challenge plan and achieve three race finishes in this new challenge (walker-friendly!). Experience the beautiful Mystic shoreline community at the Mystic Half Marathon and 10K! Enjoy scenic views for 13.1 or 6.2 miles, running from Olde Mistick Village, past historic ships, through the charming downtown with race finish at Mystic Aquarium.

Gay City State Park

Celebrate the summer solstice with a beautiful early morning trail run in Gay City State Park with three race distances to choose from: 3 mile, 5 mile or 8 mile. The 8 Mile race is part of the 2024 Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series and the USATF-CT Mountain, Ultra and Trail (MUT) series — a competition for teams of three to run the trails with a chance to win prize money.

Happy hour running along the river in Hartford! Kick off the summer weekend early with a twist on the popular Thursday evening race tradition. The Riverfront 5K course runs along paved trails within the Riverfront Recapture park system, looping back along the river.
After the 3.1 mile race, cool off with a cold craft brew and summertime treat in a post-race party at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza. Pick up summertime swag and relax as the sun sets on a summer evening.

Come together in a community party to encourage each other to MOVE! Celebrate with a 5K or 1 Mile run and walk, free Movement Festival and live entertainment in Hartford’s Keney Park with <a target="_blank" href="https://www.facebook.com/ulgh64/" rel="nofollow">Urban League of Greater Hartford</a>.
The 5K and 1 Mile distances both welcome participants of all abilities, ages and fitness levels to run or walk before they enjoy a summer morning Movement Festival with a free kids run, variety of fitness activities, healthy snacks, giveaways and live entertainment. Explore Hartford’s historic Keney Park in this inspiring event and encourage others to join you. The $20 event fee for adults and $10 fee for ages 13-21 includes a cotton shirt; kids 12 and under can participate in the 5K, 1 Mile and/or kids run for free (shirt available for purchase).
The 5K (3.1 miles) and 1 Mile routes are fun for runners and walkers, with start and finish near the Woodland Street entrance to Keney Park. The route and all festivities are within the park, which features shade areas, meadows and forests and is one of New England’s largest public parks!
This event has been made possible through the generous support of Pratt &amp; Whitney.
All proceeds go toward helping the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.facebook.com/ulgh64/" rel="nofollow">Urban League of Greater Hartford</a>’s work to improve racial equity and economic empowerment through education, employment, housing, health and social justice programs.

A spectacular beach race featuring stunning views! The half marathon course runs into the pristine neighborhoods of Watch Hill first before entering Weekapaug and running along the coastline and through the picturesque beach community. The Surftown Half Marathon, presented by Westerly Hospital, is a destination race not to miss, with additional distance options available.
The 2-person relay gives runners a chance to experience part of the awesome Surftown Half course split with a buddy for 5.1 mile and 8 mile legs. Relay participants exchange within walking distance of the pre/post-race area.
The 5K race offers a 3.1 mile beachy run to remember! The flat and fast course travels out-and-back along Winnapaug Pond and the Misquamicut beach community and starts shortly after the 13.1 mile race kicks off.
All participants earn a funky beach-themed finisher medal, a high quality short sleeve technical shirt and a post-race party by the beach with a variety of fresh food and a complimentary ice-cold beer from Grey Sail Brewing (21+ w/ID only).

Surftown Half Marathon, Relay & 5K presented by Westerly Hospital

The premier marathon and half marathon in Connecticut is a fall celebration not to be missed – and it’s on a new weekend in 2024. Set your calendar for the third Saturday of October (in observance of the Jewish high holiday) and get ready to achieve greatness! Be inspired with the glorious start in front of the majestic Capitol and the iconic finish line under the Arch at the Eversource Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon. The beloved New England road race tradition continues to deliver a top-notch experience with the highest level of safety and security for race participants, volunteers, spectators and the community.
Both marathon and half marathon courses will venture into the welcoming neighborhoods of West Hartford, full of cheering race spectators, with a short pass through beautiful Elizabeth Park. Marathoners veer off from half marathon participants and head over the Founders Bridge. Then, 26.2 mile runners will travel along the East Hartford side of the river before hitting the rural and scenic town roads of South Windsor, where the course highlights its quintessential New England charm. Journey back to Hartford to finish just past the Soldiers &amp; Sailors Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park and celebrate with food and music in the park and beer garden festivities.
The 13.1 mile course will run with the marathon to West Hartford and split back in Hartford, about 8 miles in, before half marathoners enjoy a run along the river. The downtown Hartford finish delivers that joyous and memorable moment crossing under the Arch, along brilliantly colored mums lining the path.
The Charity 5K will run through downtown Hartford. Expect a fast race for competitive runners that also welcomes casual runners and walkers to accomplish goals finishing under the arch.
Those looking for a fun way to get in on the action together with others can enjoy the Team 26.2 Relay with options for 2-5 team members to run in legs along the marathon course.
A memorable experience awaits, with meaningful swag, well supported courses, thorough medical and security services and a great celebration in store.

This festive family 5K tradition welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to celebrate the season as a community in the CLA Blue Back Mitten Run. The 3.1-mile road race winds through West Hartford’s decorated neighborhoods and past festive shop windows.
5K participants earn a holiday inspired mittens and enjoy delicious holiday cookies post-race in Blue Back Square. Register early (by October 13) and receive a personalized race bib with your name!
Bring the kids to participate in the HMF FitKids run – a ½ mile or one mile dash to Blue Back Square.
