(Updated) Buddy Has A New Home!

The family-friendly dog is going home.

It looks like it'll be a happy ending for Buddy after all.

Media reports and social media outlets have helped spread the word and this guy will be going to a loving family, Cheshire Animal Control Officer April Leiler told Patch staff.

Best of luck to Buddy and his new family!

Original Story
"Please tell them I'm here and I want to go home," a post on Facebook states, sharing a picture of Buddy, a dog that has spent several months at the Cheshire Animal Shelter.

Buddy is in need of a permanent home - and you can help!

The dog has spent the last several months at the animal shelter and according to the post, if he isn't able to find a suitable permanent home soon, that's where his life could end.

Cheshire Animal Control Officer April Leiler said Buddy has proven to be family-friendly and plays well with both other dogs and people. He is the kind of dog that "is going to be a great buddy for some lucky family."

To adopt Buddy, or for more information, contact April Leiler at (203) 271-5590 or visit the Cheshire Animal Shelter at 500 Highland Ave.
